What you'll accomplish
Update a cost/sell row without implying invoice ingestion or reconciliation.
Steps
- Review the supplier or subcontractor cost source.
- Open the matching Costing tab and create or edit the material, labor, or subcontractor row.
- Enter the reviewed cost and sell values, then confirm the displayed currency and markup.
- Use the maintained reference when entering the job's quote unit price; archive the row when it is obsolete.
What to expect
- Costing supports active, archived, and all filters plus create, edit, archive, and restore actions.
- Source documents are not attached to or reconciled against Costing or quote rows.
- A subcontractor costing row is a reusable rate record, not a vendor ledger or payable.
Good to know
BuildVision AI does not currently upload, read, approve, code, pay, or reconcile supplier invoices, and it does not maintain vendor accounts.
