What you'll accomplish
Import and maintain internal rates, then add an intentional Costing record to a draft quote.
Steps
- Open Costing → Materials, Labor, or Subcontractors and create rows or Import CSV/XLSX/XLS through mapping and preview.
- Review skipped rows and the 500-valid-row cap; edit or archive catalog records as prices change.
- In a draft quote, open From Costing, search active priced records by type, and add the chosen result to a section.
- Confirm the copied quantity/unit/cost/sell values, wait for Saved, and review totals.
What to expect
- The Costing table separates cost, sell price, and markup and supports active/archive lifecycle state.
- Quote amounts parse into cents and render through strict currency formatting.
- A negative or unreadable quote value is not saved, and untouched line totals keep their previously saved values.
- A Costing-backed row is copied into the quote; later catalog edits do not claim to reprice existing quote lines automatically.
