What you'll accomplish
Set ft/m at workspace level and classify items where the current product supports it.
Steps
- Set Imperial (ft) or Metric (m) under Settings → Workspace.
- Open a takeoff and select one or more items.
- Enter or choose a category in Inspector.
- Verify quantity units and exported descriptions.
What to expect
- Workspace measurementUnit and per-page scale jointly determine displayed measured quantities.
- Categories are item data and may use CSI-oriented suggestions.
- Labels determine how items group together and which automatic color they use.
Good to know
BuildVision AI does not currently include a trade-specialty settings matrix, company-trade detection settings, or trade-based labor and assembly defaults.
