What you'll accomplish
Understand the labels and states you will see while moving from a plan to a quote.
Steps
- Plan or document: the uploaded PDF or image; page: one sheet in that plan.
- Takeoff item: count, linear, or area geometry with label, category, unit, quantity, and optional AI provenance.
- Pending/accepted/dismissed: explicit AI review states; manual items have no acceptance state.
- Legend: extracted plan context; None yet: a legend row with no placed item on the open page; Search more: targeted symbol matching that returns pending review items.
- Workspace member: role/capability-based account access; project collaborator: cross-company fixed view-only access to one project.
- Project: a folder for plans, takeoffs, and quotes; quote: the document your team edits and sends; shared quote: the document a customer reviews.
What to expect
- Viewport scale is not plan calibration scale.
- Saved, Saving, or Failed describes cloud saving; undo and redo describe edit history.
- Document totals disclose page coverage until complete.
- Costing is the reusable rate catalog; Calculators are 28 formula engines; a quote is the editable commercial document built from takeoff, template, calculator, or manual scope.
