Steps
- Select one or more items in the canvas or Items dock.
- Enter a category or choose a suggestion from categories already on the page and CSI names.
- Set a specific label for the measured item.
- Review grouping, color, and exported description consistency.
What to expect
- Category may be empty; label is the primary grouping and color-derivation key.
- Multi-select can apply one category across the selected items.
- Export carries item names and categories without creating subcontract trade packages.
- Relabeling a subset of a combined item splits it—each label sums separately in the Items dock and in Document totals.
Good to know
BuildVision AI does not currently include a configurable trade-specialty catalog, trade packages, a CSI cost-code ledger, or labor defaults by trade.
