Takeoff & Estimation
AI Jobs and Notifications
Run AI across a plan, leave the editor without losing visibility, and use the global bell to follow progress, cancel active work, reopen results, or diagnose failures.

AI takeoff job
Run AI after the document is stored and follow live stage and completed-page progress.
- Runs after upload completes
- Live job stage
- Clear error messages
What you'll accomplish
Track a document-wide job and find which pages need review.
Steps
- Start Run AI takeoff from the saved document.
- Watch stage and pages-completed progress in the editor job chip or global notification menu.
- Cancel an active run from Notifications when needed; terminal entries retain the result or failure context.
- Open Sheets to compare per-page item and pending counts while coverage loads.
- Navigate to active pages and complete pending review before finalizing the takeoff.
What to expect
- Job progress is separate from workspace item reads, so progress ticks do not require rerendering the entire plan state.
- Sheets distinguishes unknown counts from zero counts while page data is loading.
- The editor never presents a partial cross-page export as complete.
- Notifications also group unread and dated comment, quote, project-invite, and Search more activity with relevant deep links.
Good to know
AI takeoff runs across the open document. BuildVision AI does not currently include a custom page-subset builder or user-scheduled parallel job batches.
