Steps
- Add, rename, reorder, or delete empty sections; keep at least one section and remove rows before deleting a populated section.
- Add a Manual line as Material, Labor, Equipment, Subcontractor, or Other with description, quantity, unit, sell price, and unit cost.
- Use From Costing to search active priced catalog rows and insert one into the selected section.
- Edit Description, Quantity, or Unit price, reorder or delete rows, and leave the field to schedule autosave.
- Act on validation strips for negative/unreadable quantities or amounts.
- Confirm section totals and the quote footer before external actions.
What to expect
- A manual line chooses its unit at creation; the existing quote table edits description, quantity, and unit price.
- Preview totals update immediately while a line edit saves.
- Line edits save automatically, while Saved, Saving, or Failed remains visible.
- Commercial structure is editable in draft; later statuses expose a visible locked state.
