What you'll accomplish
Choose the correct creation path and enter an editable draft quote.
Steps
- From Quotes, choose New quote, then Blank quote or an active saved template; a blank quote needs a title, while a template title can keep its default, and customer/email are optional.
- From takeoff, finish review/calibration and choose Export to quote for accepted AI and manual scope across every page.
- From a calculator result, choose Save to quote, select output lines, and choose New quote or Existing quote.
- Open the result, assign a standalone quote to a project if useful, and complete its draft composition.
What to expect
- If there is nothing to export, a page is missing, or a measurement needs scale, BuildVision AI stops and explains what to fix.
- Template choices show default state, section count, and item count; the app has no template-authoring screen.
- Takeoff-origin quotes remain linked through their originating takeoff; standalone quotes can be assigned or unassigned to a project.
- Creating or modifying a quote requires a signed-in workspace and quote-management access.
