Steps
- Start a takeoff from Projects with one PDF, choose an existing project or New project from PDF, and follow preparation into the editor.
- Run AI takeoff, extract a legend, use Search more, or add count, linear, polyline, area, rectangle, and comment work manually.
- Accept or dismiss suggestions, name and categorize items, calibrate measured pages, and audit every page before export.
- Maintain Costing rates by hand or spreadsheet import, or run one of 28 calculators and save selected results to a quote.
- Create a quote from takeoff, blank, or saved template; organize sections and lines, add Costing records, set project, prices, and customer details, then share it.
- Use project sharing, plan comments, notifications, team settings, and billing usage controls for the work around the estimate.
What to expect
- The main application navigation is Projects, Takeoff, Quotes, and Costing, with a global notification bell and account menu.
- AI output and Search more matches remain reviewable; accepted and manual items are the takeoff-to-quote export set.
- Project guests receive fixed view-only access to project, takeoff, and quote data, but can participate in plan comments.
- A partial cross-page export is cancelled rather than silently emitted, and customer quote PDF download is separate from takeoff export.
